Are you an experienced Quality / Lab Technician from the textiles industry? Can you accurately test shades and yarn samples? Do you enjoy a busy role with lots of site interaction?

We're partnering with a reputable textile manufacturer in West Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced Quality Control Lab Technician to join their quality department.

About You

  • You'll have a minimum of 2-3 years in a laboratory environment.
  • It's essential that you've got experience of working with textiles (fabric, yarns etc.).
  • It is also important that you enjoy working with customers and suppliers; you'll be their key contact when it comes to sample management, specification reports / analysis and problem solving.
  • You should have strong MS Excel skills.

About The Job

  • Working as part of a busy quality team, you'll be responsible for yarn testing, sample shade quality testing/approval,customer care and analysis.
  • You will carry out quality testing in the lab and compare against standard specifications as well as carrying out micron tests and composition under the microscope and OFDA machine.
  • A part of your role will involve attending meetings and reporting on non-conformance and productivity issues with shading and strength.
  • Preparation of the samples for the sales team and customers, some customer site visits (when required) and full administration and reporting on your findings.
