Quality Control Analyst / Church Stretton, Shropshire / c£15 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Analyst to join our client, a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton.

As a Quality Control Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of products. Your focus will be on supporting project work related to new test method development and validation. In additional you will conduct analytical testing of raw materials and final products. Preparing release documentation and labelling of finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw material, intermediates and final products using established methods.
  • Testing products using chemical tests
  • Product release and stock control
  • Project and new method development work
  • Maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment
  • Sample and stock solution preparation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing activities, results, and observations.

Ideal person

  • An enthusiastic, self-starter who can work independently as well as within an experienced professional team.
  • Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related subject.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
  • Prior experience in a QC or analytical laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of any of the following analytical techniques: ICP, Microwave digestion, GC-MS, HPLC, particle size analysis.

This role is an 18-month Temporary contract, 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
