Position: Permanent, Shift Work

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

We are delighted to be partnered with this well-established, food manufacturing business based in Avonmouth. With presence throughout the UK, they successfully manufacture high quality products to variety of high-profile customers. They take pride in ensuring their products offer high-quality to exceed industry standards. Our client is now recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their journey in achieving sustainable growth through product innovation.

The successful candidate doesn’t necessarily have to have come from this role, we are looking for a candidate who knows about food standards and would like to work in a quality role, in a factory environment.

Responsibilities of QA Technician:

• Carry out sample checks on raw materials and final products
• Carry out finished goods checks, including running a taste panel and sense assessment
• Monitor the temperature of the environment and products
• Weight check finished goods and check they comply with regulations
• Monitor and report customer returns
• Monitor and report monthly KPI’s
• Support with staff training in regards to quality compliance  

The Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Previous experience or knowledge of food production
• Strong Excel skills, ability to analyse and present data accurately
• Confident and hard working
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise work load
• High levels of attention to detail
