Position: Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) Manager

Compensation: Up to £45,000 per annum

Location: Gloucester

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 0800-1630, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

We are currently presenting an outstanding opportunity in Gloucester for a  self-driven, and experienced Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to become a part of our client's team .

The ideal candidate should possess forward-thinking abilities, innovate conceptual solutions, utilize effective organizational and planning skills, demonstrate resilience under pressure, and exhibit strong influencing capabilities across various organizational levels and with external partners. 

Responsibilities:

- Offer guidance to the senior management team at GTC regarding environmental management and ensure adherence to current regulations.

- Oversee all health, safety, and environmental protocols at the site to ensure legal compliance.

- Manage essential documentation, including procedures, supporting documents, and revisions.

- Initiate the creation of new work procedures, flowcharts, and necessary documents as needed.

- Conduct internal audits as per the annual schedule, prepare reports, address non-conformances, collaborate with relevant departments for corrective actions, and identify opportunities for process enhancement.

- Assist in external audit assessments and site inspection processes.

- Address quality issues and participate in problem-solving activities.

- Perform risk assessments for the site operations.

- As part of the operations department under the Head of Operations, oversee the integrated ISO9001:2015 / ISO14001:2015 management systems in a thriving manufacturing setting.

- Interact with the senior management team and clients as necessary for QHSE support functions.

- Produce monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review them against established goals, reporting outcomes to senior management.

- Coordinate audit management reviews with senior executives.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Considerable experience in a senior role within Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management.

- Demonstrated managerial experience.

- Ideally completed a recognized Engineering apprenticeship.

- Proficient in creating Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) up to level 3 and handling International Material Data System (IMDS) submissions.

- Certified lead auditor according to management standards.

- Competence in utilizing standard inspection equipment and CAD systems for 3D component viewing.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
