QC Inspector

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add an Inspector to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Loanhead area of Edinburgh.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4.45pm (37hrs)

Salary: £31K

Daily Duties –

• Carry out in process inspection of products from Good Inwards and through the manufacturing process including first of batch acceptance check
• Compile, analyse, and prepare inspection plans
• Identify root cause and preventative action for non-conformances
• Liaise with production and engineering teams on product issues and prevent defects through best practice
• Coordinate and control the calibration of equipment used

Candidate Requirements –

• Time-served or similar experience within a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within an inspection role
• Knowledge of inspection methods and processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
