Our client in Royston is going through a restructure due to growth and is looking now for a a Purchasing & Quality Administrator to join their production team.

Based in the office 5 days a week (9-5pm with flexi time) the role will involve monitoring stock, liasing with suppliers to deal with issues relating to quality of products, finding new suppliers and working closely with all the relevent departments when purchasing items for new installations.

The main duties are:

  • Manage and oversee all suppliers listed with AD15.
  • Support all new suppliers including vendor rating & approval of suppliers.
  • Involved in purchases covering engineering, manufacturing, and quality areas supporting admin department
  • Support drawing control and review current and new drawings in addition standards and interpret tolerancing.
  • Be involved in reviewing measuring reports and implement any actions required to correct.
  • Lease with department on supplier activities, quality and progress
  • Be required to create or support 8D, Quality or Warranty reports
  • Support quality with rejected parts from suppliers and plan lead times / resolve
  • Support the control of non-conforming parts to be stopped and held in quarantine.
  • Manage Stock control, part number allocation and reporting using SAP
  • Manage Stock within Coil department
  • Oversee Stock Audits
  • Supports / conducts internal audits
  • Engineering activities will be required, involving presenting suppliers, costs and lead times & cross functional meetings.
  • Quality activities will require to lease with suppliers, and product updates.

The ideal candidate will have worked in an engineering business and ideally but not essentially used SAP.
