Project manager ICT (Project)
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering complex and multiple projects simultaneously across Children’s and Adults Systems. This includes planning, mobilisation, implementation, transition to live and management of project resources. The post holder will manage a range of projects supporting the division.
The post holder will ensure that projects are delivered within financial, quality and scope constraints and they are also responsible for project reporting and the production of all project-related artefacts.
They will support complex, systems and organisational redesign projects and lead on and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multiple project teams to deliver organisational and cultural change across the Division.
The post holder reports to the Business Transformation Manager or Technology Transformation Lead and will work closely with all areas of the organisation including corporate ICT and Digital Transformation Teams.
Knowledge, including educational qualifications:
Awareness of the issues facing local government, particularly in relation to service redesign, savings and service delivery
Knowledge of transformation, service redesign, process mapping, business analysis and service improvement models.
Broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate and external resources
Planning and organization
Programme and project management
Agile methodologies
Experience:
Extensive experience in managing multiple IT projects within a large organisation
Team and resource management, including matrix management
Working in a large, multi-functional organisation
Ensuring that appropriate project management standards and procedures are followed
Motivating project teams to deliver excellent services in all circumstances
Management of costs within budget
Communicating with stakeholders
