A Japanese IT company is recruiting a Project Accounts Administrator / Assistant Project Accountant in the UK.

In this role you will be responsible for liaising with the Project Managers and Engineers, providing administrative support such as raising quotations, sales orders, sales invoices, and processing purchase invoices, as well asliaising with the Corporate department, ensuring the sales and cost of sales related transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion.

TYPE: 18-month Fixed-Term Contract, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: £30-35K depending on experience
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Fully-remote (office in London, expected to be in the office a few days a week at the start)

Project Accounts Administrator / Assistant Project AccountantRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using SAP S4Hana, creating sales quotations, sales orders upon request from project managers
  • Using SAP S4Hana, creating purchase orders followed by purchase invoices according to project numbers, ensuring the cost of sales information is correctly tied to sales information
  • Liaise with the project managers, ensuring the required documents are processed within the appropriate month
  • Working on the cost of sales information, which is processed in previous periods, ensuring the cost of sales will be released from Balance Sheet to Statement of Profit & Loss at the right timing
  • Working closely with managers and the Corporate Department, ensuring all the sales and cost of sales data are included in the appropriate month
  • Preparing data according to the requirement of IFRS 15, in both figures and documents
  • Preparing and answering all the inquiries requested by internal and external auditors
  • Dealing with email inquiries including the internal administrative support and enquiries received by third parties, including customers and supplier accounting teams
  • Checking expense claims submitted by departments and ensuring all the information is included and correct before manager’s approval
  • Attending team meetings, including the Company annual meeting
  • Participating and contributing as required for company-led projects
  • Working closely with other project accounts administrators where required
  • Dealing with ad-hoc duties which are requested by managers


Project Accounts Administrator / Assistant Project Accountant IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience
  • 2 years or more experience in accounting related positions
  • Understanding of filing systems, basic mathematical skills, administrative skills, organisation skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to detect inconsistencies, good prioritisation and communication skills are also required
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to work under pressure in multinational environment
