GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, leading manufacturer of agriculture machinery, located in Evesham. Our client has a truly exciting vacancy for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 16:00pm offering a salary up to £42,000 pending relevant experience, plus company bonus, excellent benefits, onsite parking, sick pay and great career progression opportunities.

As Production Supervisor you will be responsible for leading the production team, fostering a culture of LEAN thinking and support the Directors drive for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will implement robust working procedures and instil an energetic and disciplined work ethic amongst the production team.

To be considered you MUST be able to demonstrate previous experience as a Production Supervisor with strong man management skills wand the ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team.

Production Supervisor main duties:

  • Continuous improvement throughout the production environment.
  • Promoting a good team spirit.
  • Control workflow to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Management of the welding, assembly and paint sprayers which make up approximately 20-25 personnel.
  • This includes promoting and instilling a good work ethic and setting the pace of the working environment.
  • Communicating with the Directors, Sales, Design, Warehouse and PDI teams to understand and implement and an efficient production schedule.
  • Coordinating with the design team, to feedback design/engineering issues and implement any design changes issued as a result.
  • Implementing a robust QC program to improve and uphold a high and consistent output quality.
  • Measuring and attaining the labour output required for each machine model, to accurately understand labour cost and time per machine.
  • Maintenance and testing of all production facilities and equipment.
  • Maintaining a high standard of H&S, implementing new procedure and arranging training of team members in order to maintain compliance with legal requirements and recommendation of a third-party advisor.
  • Purchase orders of workshop consumables.
  • Supervision of incoming laser cut parts and components, ensuring delivery matches the purchase order
  • Carrying out reporting to ISO 9001 and other regulatory standards

Production Supervisor required skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor
  • A strong "can do" attitude
  • Methodical in the day-to-day implementation of the production schedule
  • A problem solver and have the ability to notice potential issues and act on them
  • Strong man management skills with the ability to; lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Able to address matters urgently and diligently
  • Able to be flexible in their approach to work - picking up new tasks as they arise
