Production / Machine Operative

Location: Huddersfield

Pay: £11.90p/h

Duration: 12 week Temporary - Permanent

Hours of work: 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, rotating weekly.

Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of our client, a modern business with over 100 years of history and experience within the manufacturing sector, serving customers all over the UK and exporting to Europe, USA and Australasia.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To manufacture products safely and efficiently, in line with all product safety, quality, and hygiene policies.
  • To operate production line machines to meet those standards.
  • To ensure hygiene standards are met using the clean as you go practice and relevant clean and inspection standard operating procedures at the production lines.
  • To advise the logistics department when materials are required or when finished product is available using the relevant form and process.
  • To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice.
  • To take part in improvement activities to support the business in being more successful.

Essential skills needed for the role:

  • To comply with all Safety, Quality and Hygiene rules.
  • To be able to operate all equipment and understand the basic technical processes as per the skills matrix.
  • To liaise with visitors as necessary.
  • To work flexible working patterns when required.
  • To be available for the overtime shifts as required.
