We are currently recruiting for two Assembly managers on the shifts below due to an exciting growth phase for our established client.

The roles will lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards.

Duties:

  • Ensure and manage that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well being of staff and visitors.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimising costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities.
  • Update the production plan daily.
  • Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met.
  • Champion and drive Continuous Improvement activities.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and man- management skills
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
  • Commercial and Financial acumen:
  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications.
  • Plant level experience with supervisory experience
  • Experience in using Continues Improvement Techniques (Green/Black belt level)
  • Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for manufacturing

Benefits:

Salary up to 50K for right person.

Assembly Manager 1 working: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Assembly Manager 2 working: Monday-Friday , 11am-7pm
