We have a Product Technologist opportunity with a long-standing supplier of home fragrance and gift products to UK and International retailers. Due to growth, this dynamic business wants to take on another Product Technologist to work in their chic London office.
The Product Technologist is a key member of the Home Fragrance Technical Team. You will be taking the products from buying stage through to shipment. You will manage the technical document portfolios, communicate testing and sampling requirements with factories, manage sample ordering (both raw material and testing samples, user trial samples etc), analyse test results and upload data to customer platforms.
This supplier works with a diverse range of customers, therefore customer platform management and document and sample management is a large part of the role, as well as product review and assessment and factory liaison. Working alongside the technical, and product development, regulatory team, design and merchandising teams across two offices.
Knowledge:
Experience in a similar technical role - essential
Knowledge of home fragrance products and technical requirements is preferred but not essential.
Experience working with multiple off shore manufacturing sites is preferred
Experience working within a busy office environment with tight deadlines and multiple tasks is essential
Knowledge of major retailer data platforms - preferred not essential
Skills / abilities:
Excellent Microsoft Word , Excel, Outlook skills
The ability to create, modify and maintain Excel spreadsheets
Maintaining organised and thorough electronic document files
Attention to detail - product specifications, test report analysis
Ability to follow and work to critical deadline dates
