• Location: Tamworth
• £35000-£40000 with pension, life cover, healthcare, EAP and on site parking

A mechanically biased engineer is needed to drive a production process towards a zero defects status. You must be an exceptional problems solver and adept engineer. Exceptional prospect within a life critical manufacturing sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Take ownership of remakes within your designated area, ensuring immediate containment to minimise risk to additional product.
• Conduct thorough investigations of remakes and report initial findings to senior management within 24 hours of the issue being raised.
• Document details and findings of all remakes in the Company Remake investigation system, supported by a completed remake completion check sheet.
• Instigate and implement any Corrective and Preventative Actions, maintaining ownership until fully implemented.
• Ensure all remakes are investigated and closed to the Quality Manager’s satisfaction.
• Drive activities to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD), including non-production tasks.
• Provide leadership and support for Lean processes, including 5s and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to document processes clearly and keep records up-to-date.
• Competency in investigating and addressing remakes to minimise product risk.
• Leadership skills to drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
• Familiarity with Lean processes, including 5s and CI activities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
