I’m delighted to be working with a highstreet firm in Birmingham, who are currently going through a fantastic period of growth an expansion. As a result, they are keen to add a Private Client legal Secretary to their team in Birmingham City Centre on a part time basis. Ideally, they would like to recruit a Legal Secretary with experience of working for partners and fee earners in a Legal environment.
Based in modern, well-equipped offices, close to local commuter links and with nearby parking, this role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary, able to travel to Birmingham City Centre.
Duties and responsibilities of a Legal Secretary:
- Opening and closing of files
- Digital Dictation / Audio
- Being the first point of contact for clients
- Answering the phone and dealing with enquiries
- Being the first point of contact for any administrative and business support requirements for the Senior Partner
- Assisting with the preparation of all financial transactions as required
- Drafting and formatting of letters, documents, and forms
- Ad hoc duties and responsibilities
- Previous Legal Secretarial experience
- Strong legal administration experience
- Experience in case management systems (SOS/iManage) (preferable)
- Experience of working in a client facing environment
- Broad knowledge of administrative tasks in legal practices
- Sound knowledge of IT skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams, Zoom, etc
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Have experience of working in a team and the ability to develop relationships with colleagues
