Welfare Assistant

  • Hourly Wage: National Living Wage - £11.44ph
  • Location: Morecambe
  • Job Type: Part-time (1 hour and 10 minutes per day, Monday - Friday, 11:55am - 13:05pm)

We are looking for a dedicated Welfare Assistant to join our team, providing essential support during lunchtime at a local school. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the general welfare and safety of children during their midday break.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Supervise students during lunchtime to ensure a safe and positive dining experience.
  • Assist in the organisation and smooth running of the lunch hall.
  • Encourage good manners and proper lunchtime behaviour among students.
  • Provide first aid as needed and respond to any incidents or emergencies.
  • Assist younger children with their meals if necessary.
  • Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A caring and patient nature.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children.
  • First aid qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to the well-being and safety of students.
