Job Title: Precision Grinder

Location: Dudley

Responsible to: Production Manager

Main

Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating of Various Grinding machines

  • Including Internal bore diameters, external diameters and Vector Grinding

  • Grinding roller bearings and Ball bearings

  • Manual and CNC machines working to close tolerances.

  • Grinding of bearings and bearing related components

  • Working to drawings provided ensuring all work is of the highest standard.

  • Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace.

  • Promoting good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.

Person Specification

  • Experience in working in a similar role would be an advantage

  • Role would suit a Surface Grinder looking to develop their skills
  • Ground components off a Magnetic chuck

  • Knowledge of Shoe grinding ( not essential)

  • Ability to work to close tolerances.

  • Experienced in using Precision Grinding Machines

  • Previous experience in Grinding Bearings an advantage

  • Good Problem solver

  • Precise + Meticulous

  • This is not a mass production role.

  • Suitable candidates should be fully experienced in the relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate specific product and technical knowledge

Hours of work days Mon 7.30 - 16.15

Tues 7.30 - 16.15

Wed 7.30 - 16.15

Thur 7.30 - 16.15

Friday 07.30-12.00

Overtime available at 1x1/3 Mon to Thursday and 1x1/2 on a Friday
