Summary

GI Pro are working with a precision engineering cutting tool manufacturer based in North Nottinghamshire.

We have a permanent role for a Precision Grinder, working a day shift, Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm. Friday 8am - 1pm

Offering an hourly rate of pay of £16 - £18 per hour, with overtime paid at a premium

This is a permanent full-time contract.

The client: Precision engineering manufacturer or the aerospace and automotive sectors

Job Description

• Setup and run centerless and plunge grinding machines to produce tools of varied sizes and ranges from engineering drawings.
• Look for improvements in manufacture and the process of grinding components, whilst making recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.
• Full quality inspection in line with stage inspection criteria and measuring tools.
• Adjust machines as needed for different jobs specs.
• Operating other machinery as and when required such Milling / Turning / CNC Sliding head machine using Fanuc controls (training can be provided on the sliding head machine)
• Working with batch sizes ranging from 2 - 5000 of small intricate parts
• Working in a team of 20 skilled engineers

The Ideal Candidate

• You will have previous experience working on cylindrical or surface grinding machines.
• Spark Eroder machine is helpful.
• Able to work from engineering drawings.
