Job Description:

Are you passionate about driving positive change in social care practice? An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Lambeth Social Care Academy for a Practice Development Lead. This role is pivotal in fostering and ingraining excellent practice within Lambeth Children's Social Care and its key partners across the Directorate.

About the Role:

As a Practice Development Lead (PDL), you will be an integral part of Lambeth Social Care Academy, reporting directly to the Head of Academy/Principal Social Worker. Your primary responsibility will be to act as an agent of change, facilitating Lambeth's journey to excellence. Collaborating closely with service managers, you'll identify and support practice improvement initiatives.

About You:

We are seeking a successful social work practitioner with a robust practice background, ideally with recent experience in nurturing the learning curve of social workers and other staff, including students and ASYEs. You should possess a track record of influencing practice positively. Please note that current registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England is a prerequisite for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with service managers to identify areas for practice improvement.
  • Act as a catalyst for positive change within Lambeth's social care practice.
  • Support the learning and development of social workers and other staff members.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to innovation and creativity in supporting the workforce.
