Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit experienced and newly qualified primary teachers for supply work in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 schools in Fareham, Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Gosport and Chichester.

We offer day to day, long-term and permanent work opportunities to local teachers at local schools and have been doing so successfully for many years.

Typical cover teacher duties include:

  • Teaching classes using the provided lesson plans and mark any work completed on that day
  • Adding value to the education of the children under your supervision
  • Making sure all students are safe and have a secure learning environment
  • Maintaining professional standards and following school policy in relation to behaviour management

Cover Teacher Requirements include:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • A flexible approach to working in various environments
  • Knowledge of current curriculum and good behaviour management
  • Ideally some experience of delivering pre-planned lessons (although ECT's will be considered)
  • If you have your own transport, it will increase the range of schools you can be offered work at
