Human Capital Partners are working with a London based Property Investment company to identify and appoint their Portfolio Accountant. This role is responsible for all accounting and management information relating to their portfolio. Each portfolio comprises of between 20-40 SPV’s/JV’s.

Candidates will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified with post qualified experience gained within funds, portfolio, or a family office.

Reporting to the Financial Controller - Investments with a dotted line to the Head of Finance the successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of quarterly reports and management accounting for the relevant portfolio.
  • Ownership of the general ledger for the relevant portfolio.
  • Working closely with Financial Controller - Investment /Head of Finance in dealing with Investment Managers and Stakeholders on interpretation of quarterly reports and statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of quarterly loan covenant compliance reporting.
  • Analysing detailed property letting information and capital expenditure to project cash and profit performance on the relevant portfolio. Provide analysis for scenario modelling regarding Bank Finance transactions.
  • Preparation of financial information to be presented to Investors on a quarterly basis.
  • Analysing Financial Covenant of prospective Tenants to provide Investment Managers with recommendations on security levels required.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS for UK and EU entities.
  • Working closely with external auditors in multiple jurisdictions
  • Perform various ad-hoc tasks as requested by Financial Controller - Investment, Head of Finance, and external clients.

Candidate profile:

  • Experience in a funds/portfolio/family office environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in consolidations and corporate structures
  • Qualified accountant (One year post minimum) - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Proficient user of excel.
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate data in a logical manner.
  • Ability to concisely and clearly present and communicate information.
  • Workflow management i.e. effective organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Able to communicate with both financial and non-financial people.
