Job Title: Plater
Location: Chesterfield
Shifts: Days Only
Salary: Plater(£16.50ph) Overtime available - Pay increase set for April 2024

Metalis Recruitment : An opportunity has arisen for a Plater to join a prestigious manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plating Medium/Heavy structural steelwork
  • Working on all size bespoke jobs
  • You will be responsible for assisting in the manufacture of materials and components used in many sectors
  • Participating and contributing to Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Interpreting manufacturing paperwork (Engineering drawings)
  • Ensuring products are stored correctly to avoid contamination and damage.
  • Maintaining a good standard of cleanliness in work area.
  • Reporting all shortages, scrap, and downtime as necessary.
  • Rectifying defects where possible and contribute towards problem solving.

The company are looking for a Plater who has the following skills and experiences:

  • Time Served
  • Long term employment
  • Ideally have industrial manufacturing industry experience
  • Awareness of safety, health, environmental and quality issues.
  • Team player
  • Ability to work well in fast paced environments

Shifts & Salary:

  • Plater £16.50ph - Overtime available paid at an enhanced rate
  • Days only
  • 12 Week Temporary - Permanent role
