Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plater Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the assembly of metal sections and plates, contributing to the creation of complete units or sub-units within our production line. This position will also involve the operation of heavy-duty machinery and equipment to shape, cut, and form heavy-metal components as per fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble metal sections and plates using various methods including tack welding, bolting, and riveting.
• Set up and operate heavy-duty machinery such as brake presses, shears, cutting torches, grinders, and drills, including CNC equipment.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly and production.
• Rig, hoist, and move materials within the worksite as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Ideally time-served or apprentice-trained Plater Fabricator with demonstrable experience.
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and a conscientious work ethic.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Initiative and problem-solving skills within the workplace.

Hours:

• Monday: 9 am–5 pm
• Tuesday: 9 am–5 pm
• Wednesday: 9 am–5 pm
• Thursday: 9 am–5 pm
• Friday: 9 am–4 pm
