Metalis are currently in partnership with a pipework solution providing company. Looking to recruit a Pipefitteron a days shift pattern.

Our client has been providing pipework solutions since 1974 and due to increased business needs, we are expanding on our team of experienced pipefitters.

This role will primarily be based in our Ossett facility but travel around the UK, internationally and offshore will be required either as an individual or as part of a team. A large range of pipework installation techniques are utilised including our nonwelded and welded solutions.

Duties will include spool fabrication using both welding and mechanical forming techniques as well as some pressure testing and flushing. Training on all products, systems and equipment will be provided.

All candidates would be expected to work both in the workshop and work away on various projects of varying durations, weekend working is required at times both in the workshop and onsite.

Requirements:

• Experience working with both small (<2") and large bore (up to 32") heavy wall stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
• Strong maths skills.
• Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Available to work overtime & weekends when required is a must.
• Have a good understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
• Have good communication skills & a good understanding of H&S requirements.
• Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather when required.
• A full UK driving licence.

Advantageous Skills:

• Forklift truck licence.
• The ability to read and understand hydraulic circuits.
• Experience of pressure testing and hot oil flushing experience.
• Experience of metric compression/formed pipe work, twin ferrule pipe work, 37° flared flange and JIC 37° flared pipe work would be preferred.
