Location: Princess of Wales Community Hospital, B61 0BB

Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-16.30, 37.5 hours

Pay rate: From £21.80

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join their dynamic and welcoming team.

The trust is delighted to offer this opportunity to a passionate and forward thinking individual who has previous experience working within a community setting and has a wide range of rehabilitation knowledge of unwell older patients.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Previous NHS Experience at a band 6 level
  • Previous experience working within a community setting
  • Have a valid UK drivers licence

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Use a range of evidence based Physiotherapy clinical skills and knowledge appropriate to the role
  • Have a good level of knowledge in a wide range of physical and mental health condition
  • Challenge poor behaviour and role model good behaviour
  • Identify and plan individual rehabilitation needs in partnership with patients/ their carers
  • Make decisions autonomously, but liaise closely with and work across the multidisciplinary integrated team
  • Maintain judgement and work effectively under pressure
  • Have effective negotiation skills whilst remaining sensitive to others needs

About the Trust:

Provide services for people of all ages, across a range of settings, experiencing both physical and/or mental health conditions across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They are the main providers of mental health and learning disability services in both counties, and also deliver community hospitals, neighbourhood teams and community nursing services across Worcestershire.

The Trust work closely with the above organisations on something called the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership. Essentially this is about local organisations coming together to ensure local health and care services remain safe, effective and sustainable and that collectively we can meet our challenges. The partnership is also about delivering the priorities outlines in the NHS Long Term Plan locally across Herefordshire and Worcestershire

At Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust (HWHCT) our Research Team explores a wide array of mental health conditions including depression, psychosis and bipolar disorder. We also undertake research in other fields including dementia, complex neurology, dietetics and musculoskeletal conditions and want to expand into all areas of health & care within HWHCT.
