Dates: ASAP - ongoingJob Title: Dispensary Specialist Pharmacy TechnicianHours of Work: 37.5, including weekends and public holidays on a rota basis
As a Dispensary Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Dispensary Manager in the management, coordination, and delivery of the Inpatient Dispensary service. You will ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with Trust and Departmental policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake dispensing and dispensary accuracy checking of medicines, including clinical trial materials, unlicensed medicines, and extemporaneous preparations.
• Assist the Clinical Trials Coordinator with documentation and reconciliation of clinical trials used in the Dispensary.
• Provide medicine information and advice to pharmacy staff, other healthcare professionals, and the general public independently or under supervision, adhering to agreed personal and professional limitations.
• Assist with Medicines Management processes.
• Ensure accurate recording of all required documentation related to medicines.
• Train and supervise the duties of other junior staff.

Requirement

• To be a fully UK Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
• Previous experience as a band 4 or 5
• Accuracy Checking accreditation
• Recent hospital or community pharmacy dispensing experience
