Position: ABA Secondary School Tutor
Type: Permanent
Location: Wembley
Salary: £22,000-£24,000, depending on experience
Start Date: September 2024

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of ABA Tutors to provide individualized ABA instruction to children with autism and related communication disorders.
  • Analyze student behavior to identify behavioral functions and implement appropriate strategies in accordance with individual behavior plans, risk assessments, and agency policies.
  • Develop an understanding of assessments used within the agency to track student progress and develop Individual Education Plans.
  • Ensure adherence to individual and group schedules.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress, utilizing it to track progress and inform teaching procedures.
  • Provide support for students' personal care needs, including toileting, medication administration, feeding, and supervision during playtime and outdoor activities.
  • Prioritize student safety and well-being by implementing agency policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe environment both within the agency and during off-site activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations as required.
  • Undertake professional development activities to enhance understanding and application of Positive Behavior Support and Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure effective communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by agency management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with autism and learning disabilities is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support and Applied Behavior Analysis principles is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of students with diverse needs.
