Location: Manchester City Centre (hybrid & flexible)

Hours: Monday - Friday, office hours

What you'll do:

As a People Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce. You will be responsible for understanding our business needs, developing HR strategies that align with these needs, and ensuring that we attract and retain diverse talent. Your role will involve managing recruitment processes, conducting employee satisfaction surveys, overseeing payroll operations, and providing guidance on development to managers and their teams. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our policies comply with current legislation and best practice. Your expertise will be crucial in providing counsel on employee relation issues, leading relationships with account teams, suppliers and recruiters, and maintaining high standards of quality within your team.

  • Develop expert knowledge of HR processes and apply this knowledge to confidently advise colleagues.
  • Manage provision of a professional HR service to the agency.
  • Work with practice boards to understand future talent needs and develop succession plans for critical roles.
  • Responsible for conducting an annual employee satisfaction survey and interpreting the results.
  • Manage payroll in conjunction with Finance team.
  • Manage the agency's CDR process and assist with the development and execution of the annual training plan.
  • Responsible for reviewing agency policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current legislation and HR best practice.
  • Provide expert counsel on all employee relation issues.
  • Lead relationships with account teams, suppliers and recruiters.
  • Review all work prepared by the team to ensure standards of quality, accuracy and output are maintained.

What you bring:

The ideal People Advisor will bring a wealth of experience in Human Resources or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, and be able to apply this knowledge to advise colleagues and develop new strategies. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation, while your experience in managing recruitment processes will ensure that we attract and retain diverse talent. Your ability to interpret data from employee satisfaction surveys will be crucial in making recommendations for improvement, and your knowledge of current legislation and HR best practice will ensure our compliance. Your leadership skills will shine as you lead relationships with account teams, suppliers and recruiters, and your attention to detail will ensure high standards of quality within your team.

  • Proven experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
