Pensions Administrator - Up to £28,000pa

Permanent (37.5 hours per week) - Bury

We are supporting a fantastic growing client based in Ramsbottom, Bury looking for an experienced Pensions Professional to join their Team as a Pensions Officer on a full time permanent basis.

This role is full time office based but offering fantastic benefits such as: Discretionary annual bonus, flexi-time policy, Contributory pension scheme and friendly team and down to earth business.

As a successful candidate you will be expected to carry out a number of reporting functions to regulatory bodies who govern the pension schemes which the business operates with. It is essential you have strong attention to detail as you will be required to do a lot of precise administrative work and accuracy.

Responsibilties as a Pensions Officer:

Responsible for the completion of:

  • Pension Scheme Returns to HMRC.
  • Tax returns to HMRC.
  • VAT returns to HMRC.
  • Returns to The Pensions Regulator.

You will also be responsible for the Registration of:

  • Pension schemes with The Pensions Regulator.
  • Pension schemes for a Legal Entity Identifier.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with regulatory bodies as and when required in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining payments of regulatory levies via direct debit, cheque and bank transfer.
  • Dealing with any enquiries by telephone, email, fax and in writing.
  • Reporting any operational risks to the Directors.
  • Making payments on behalf of pension scheme members

Essential requirements of the role:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good administrative and computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience of pensions.
