This company is currently looking for a Payroll Manager, where you'll be at the heart of our organisation, ensuring that the team members receive their rightful compensation promptly and flawlessly. This company has been in operation for over 20 years, and they have been providing services for other organisation and businesses. This role is an excellent opportunity to take your next step up to Payroll Manager if you've been managing teams previously.
Your new role

  • Precision Payroll Processing: You'll orchestrate the timely and accurate payment of employee wages across multiple payrolls. Your meticulous attention to detail will be our hallmark.
  • System Optimisation: Dive into the integrated Payroll system within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Fine-tune it to perfection, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Stellar Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with our Support Office and Field staff. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service will set the gold standard.
  • Tech Liaison: Collaborate with software suppliers to address any system functionality issues. You'll be the bridge between technology and our payroll team.
  • Champion of Learning: Advocate for training and development opportunities-for yourself and your team. Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Year-End Compliance: Fulfil year-end obligations to HMRC with precision. Your expertise will ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Process Efficiency: Evaluate and enhance payroll procedures for maximum efficiency. Streamline processes and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Legal Expertise: Keep our payroll staff informed about changes to legislation and company procedures. You'll be our compliance compass.
  • End-to-End Management: Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, from start to finish. Your leadership ensures a harmonious payroll symphony.
    • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 4, including a Deputy and 3 Payroll Officers. Your guidance shapes their success.
    • Reports and Verification: Manage the production of management and verification reports. Your insights drive informed decisions.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Payroll Expertise: Extensive experience in payroll management is essential. You've mastered the intricacies of deductions, benefits, and compliance.
  • Leadership Acumen: Previous experience managing or supervising a payroll department. You're the captain of this ship.
  • Numerical Agility: Strong literacy and numeracy skills. You can decipher complex calculations effortlessly.
  • Organisational Wizardry: Juggle priorities, delegate effectively, and keep our payroll engine running smoothly.
  • Excel Proficiency: Command of MS Office, especially Excel. Pivot tables, formulas, and macros are your tools of choice.
