Portfolio Payroll are currently partnered with a Local Government organisation who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Manager to join their busy payroll team.

As Payroll Manager, you will report into the Head of Payroll and will have three direct reports (payroll team leaders) with overall responsibility of the wider payroll team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Line management of the team leaders including 1:1s, appraisals and allocation of work
  • Overseeing the processing and delivery of end to end payrolls
  • Check payrolls before BACs
  • Be a superuser for iTrent
  • Assist with the implementation of pay aware across all payrolls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement

Experience required:

  • Excellent in house payroll knowledge
  • People management experience in a payroll management level position
  • iTrent experience is desirable
  • Experience within a local government environment is desirable

This position offers flexibility to be mainly remote working, with the expectation to travel to the South West London office 1-2 times a month.

Closing date is 30th April with interviews taking place WC 6th May.
