Payroll Assistant
Meraki Talent is currently recruiting a Payroll Assistant on a full-time permanent basis for one of our client based in Glasgow.
Position Overview: As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities. This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Process and manage the full payroll cycle for employees, including data entry, verification, and distribution of payslips or electronic transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate accurate payments.
- Collaborate with HR to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit reports for management, including payroll summaries and tax filings.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and contribute to the development and improvement of payroll processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in payroll administration or a related field.
- Knowledge of payroll software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
