Job Title: Payroll Administrator/ Assistant

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (Pro Rata)

Location: Enfield or Stevenage

Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator/ Assistant to join their team in their Stevenage Office. This is flexible position with part time or full-time working hours available.

The client is also whether you wish to spread your hours over three or five days in the week.

You will be working alongside the payroll manager in this position.

Duties will include:

  • Responsible for collating information - hours worked, time sheets, bonuses, commission etc.
  • Calculating the correct amounts to pay, deductions, overtime bonuses, allowances for employees etc.
  • Manually adjusting SMP, SSP payrates and other miscellaneous adjustments.
  • Run reports.
  • Input data onto Sage payroll system
  • Processing starters/leavers
  • Responding to payroll queries from various clients

Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Previous payroll assistant experience is essential.
  • Understanding of submission details to HMRC
  • Understanding of Auto enrolment and rules, pension uploads etc
  • A good understanding of Word & Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Previous experience managing payroll in practice.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Respectful of confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills.
