Our client is a dynamic and innovative firm, at the forefront of the IP industry. They are currently expanding their team in London and are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join them as a Patent Administrator. 

Job Description: 

As a Patent Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the intellectual property team in managing and maintaining its patent portfolios. This includes coordinating with inventors, managing patent filing and prosecution processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, excellent organisational skills, and a keen interest in intellectual property law. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the preparation, filing, and maintenance of patent applications 
  • Coordinate communication between inventors, external counsel, and internal stakeholders 
  • Monitor and manage patent prosecution timelines and deadlines 
  • Maintain accurate records of patent filings, assignments, and related documents 
  • Provide administrative support to the intellectual property team  

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Patent Administrator or in a similar administrative role  
  • CIPA qualification  
  • Knowledge of patent filing and prosecution processes 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of intellectual property management software is a plus
