Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (DOE)
BRC are working with a Local Authority in Devon to recruit a Maintenance Surveyor on a part time basis. Our client is looking for a driven professional to provide day to day repair service to tenants and to maintain their stock
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day repairs service to tenants, void contracts and contractors to a high standard
- Deal with the reactive and planned property maintenance requirements within budget and to ensure compliance with the current Decent Homes Standard
- Investigate repair requests, diagnosing faults and complaints, commissioning repairs and supervising them through to completion
- Establish effective working relationships with the contractors and provide a supportive technical duty surveyor function to current contractors
- Undertake preparation of condition surveys to enable the implementation of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
- Manage quoted works and exclusion works to ensure value for money
- Monitor contractors on site and reporting on their performance
- Survey properties to identify, log and deal with the presence of asbestos-based materials
- Ensure contractors work safely and within the current health and safety/CDM requirements
- Ensure a high quality of customer service delivery, handling any complaints and act as a point of contact for queries
Job Requirements
- Driver with access to own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
- Demonstrable experience of surveying and contract management in the social housing sector
