We are on the hunt for a Junior Accountant to join growing and dynamic creative agency specialising in high end fashion and editorial advertising. Here you will play a crucial role in assisting our finance department with various accounting tasks. You will work closely with our Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic industry while contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Ideally we are looking for an individual available for 20 or 30hrs/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in processing invoices and bills in our accounting system Xero
  • Posting journals, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accurate information in our accounting system.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist Year end preparations: Support internal processes by providing documentation and answering inquiries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
