Job Title: Part-Time Finance Manager

Location: East London

Contract Details: Temporary | 2 days per week | 14 hours | Ongoing basis

Salary: £23ph

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the School Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for various financial and administrative functions, including:

  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets
  • Maintaining the school's financial systems and accounts
  • Facilitating the payment of invoices
  • Preparing monthly expenditure and income accounts
  • Ensuring timely production and issuance of financial reports and returns
  • Coordinating financial audits
  • Managing payroll administration and staff salary payments
  • Maximising value for money from suppliers and contractors
  • Overseeing the receipt and banking of all school funds
  • Managing income from premises lettings
  • Monitoring expenditure and processing invoices for payment
  • Drafting financial policies as required

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and procedures
  • Experience in preparing year-end accounts and liaising with auditors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
