Part Time Cleaner

Position: School Cleaners
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: Temporary ongoing, 12½ hrs per week, Monday - Friday
Hourly Rate: £11.44

About the Role:
We are seeking a team of three professional cleaners to join our prestigious client's school premises in the heart of Cheltenham. Reporting to the Site Manager, cleaners will play a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks according to specified standards and techniques, utilizing appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Duties include washing floors, walls, hard surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting designated areas such as toilets, showers, hygiene rooms, fixtures, fittings, and internal glass.
• Safely dispose of litter and waste to designated disposal points, ensuring hazardous substances are handled with care.
• Assist in locking and unlocking windows and doors as instructed.
• Responsible for cleaning the swimming pool area, staff, and boys/girls changing rooms.
• Replenish toiletry supplies and plastic bags as directed.
• Empty vacuum cleaners and buffer vacuum bags after each session.
• Clean and inspect all equipment after use, identifying and reporting any faults to the Site Manager.

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to use stepladders or "kick along" steps for cleaning internal wall surfaces, high-level areas, and internal glazing.
• Flexibility to cover for absent colleagues on a rota basis when necessary.
• Cleaning duties may vary between term time and holiday periods.
