Part Qualified Pensions Actuary

Permanent role, part-time can also be considered.

£40,000 - £60,000 + study support, bonus, pension and wider benefits package

Can be based from multiple locations including: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds.

Hybrid-working, typically 2 days a week in the office.

A Part Qualified Pensions Actuary is required for a market-leading Consultancy. We are ideally looking for an Actuarial student who is around halfway through their Actuarial exams and at a 'checker' level. Those who have carried out Actuarial work but not pursued the exams, or stopped studying, can also be considered.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Delegating, producing and checking work for Trustee and Corporate clients
  • Working across Actuarial calculations, drafting advice papers and delivering advice directly to clients
  • Supporting or leading client meetings, working with a range of more senior colleagues to deliver advice
  • Supporting specialist teams and gaining exposure to areas such as Risk Transfer, GMP Equalisation and Member Options
  • Assisting with training and mentoring junior colleagues to build the expertise within the team.

The successful candidate needs to be a Part Qualified Actuary (or qualified by experience) who has worked on DB Pension schemes in a Consulting or Insurance role. The Part Qualified Pensions Actuary will need strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues.
