Role Overview: We are currently seeking a to join our esteemed Employers Liability team. The successful candidate will provide invaluable support to a partner proficient and experienced Personal Injury Legal Secretary within our OL/PL department, ensuring the seamless operation of administrative tasks and facilitating the delivery of exceptional client service.
Job Description:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents efficiently through audio typing and word processing.
  • Manage filing systems, including daily filing activities and maintaining client files in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate mail preparation and dispatch as required.
  • Facilitate appointment scheduling, meeting arrangements, and diary management for the partner.
  • Provide assistance to other secretarial staff and the administration team as needed.
  • Handle client inquiries professionally and courteously, both in person and over the phone, adhering to the firm's standards for client care.
  • Undertake necessary training to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to personal and professional development.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all firm and client documentation and information.
  • Uphold the firm's 4-service promise and contribute to the delivery of exceptional client care.


Person Specification:Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience as a legal secretary, preferably within Personal Injury law.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional command of English language, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Strong audio typing and word processing skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
  • Experience of working in a Personal Injury law firm, or civil litigation firm


Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with case management systems, particularly Proclaim.
  • Audio typing speed of 65+ words per minute.
  • Experience with court forms and pleadings preparation.
  • Knowledge of digital dictation software, ideally Big Hand.
