JOB TITLE: ORTHOTICS SPECIALIST

SALARY: £depending on experience

LOCATION: London

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9am - 6 pm Monday to Friday + excellent benefits + bonus

If you are interested in bespoke footwear, a fantastic opportunity has arisen, and we are currently looking for an Orthotics Specialist to work for a highly reputable and established Firm. Our client takes pride in style and aesthetics, and they provide the clients with a sketch of the shoes.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Working within a busy Production Team
• Making each pair of orthotics which are unique and designed to meet the customer's prescription
• Good understanding of lower limb bio-mechanics
• Competent in the whole production cycle of FFO’s (functioning foot orthotics)
• Experience working with plaster-of-paris foot mould
• Understands all types of materials used in making FFO’s
• Competent in using FFO manufacturing machinery for example belt sander, vacuum press, etc
• Attention to detail and enjoying making things by hand
• Making insoles as per customer specifications.
• Work with hand tools /measuring devices
• Provide support and work together with the senior team
• Carrying out everyday tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business.
• Ensuring that the company image is maintained to a high standard
• Carry out any reasonable unspecified task as may be required by the company

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Experienced in specialised footwear
• Good with your hands about the handmade orthopaedic footwear trade
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise
• Must be organised
• Independent with initiative and strong motivational skills
• The ability to work unsupervised and proactive in approach
