Job description

Tradebe require a Plant Operator for our expanding team in Heysham

Main purpose of the role is to carry out day to day operational tasks on the Drum Plants (including loading containers, decanting, running the Drum and/or Solids Handling Plant), To provide a flexible, customer focused service aimed at maximising plant efficiency.

The role

  • Operating a unique Drum Shredding Plant
  • Operating Forklift trucks outside in all weather conditions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Keeping accurate electronic records of all Drums processed on site
  • Carrying out pre shift checks in accordance with site COMAH responsibilities
  • Working with the wider team to ensure that the site operation is kept safe and compliant
  • At month end, to carry out a full stock check of all packaged containers on site

The person

  • Experience of working in a similar environment as Operator, Production Operative or Forklift Driver
  • Have the ability to multitask within an industrial environment
  • Reliable, flexible, willingness to learn and a can-do attitude
  • Comfortable working outdoors

Desirable Skills

  • Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Handling hazardous chemicals.
  • An understanding of health and safety
