Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will play a crucial role in translating Teconnex's vision into actionable strategies. This role encompasses driving efficiencies, implementing automation solutions, and overseeing strategic transformations. Responsibilities include managing facility expansions, establishing operations in new markets, diversifying product offerings, and spearheading innovation within the in-house automation and tooling division.

The Operations Director’s duties and responsibilities will include:

• Drive international growth strategies through market evaluation, partnership establishment, and market entry initiatives.
• Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering talent development and retention.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Champion sustainable and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
• Integrate cutting-edge technologies and Industry 4.0 principles to drive innovation and cost-effectiveness.
• Enhance operational controls to support global expansion efforts.
• Collaborate with in-house teams to drive innovation, supporting diversification goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, diversity, and inclusion.

The Operations Director will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree required, master's in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role within large multinational manufacturing companies with a turnover exceeding £150 million.
• Experience in a highly regulated component manufacturing sector such as Automotive or Aerospace
• Extensive experience managing operations across global regions, with flexibility for regular overseas travel.
• Demonstrated expertise in sustainable manufacturing, technological advancements, and automation solutions.
• Exceptional strategic planning and execution abilities, focused on driving growth and profitability.
