We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our growing Multi-Disciplinary team to deliver a person-centred therapy service to adults with physical deficits following an acquired brain injury or from a cerebrovascular event. We are seeking a friendly and dynamic therapist to join our therapy team of Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology and physiotherapists at All Hallows, Suffolk. We also have input from a Rehabilitation Consultant and Neuropsychiatrist. All Hallows is part of the Caretech Group, a leading provider of specialist brain injury inpatient rehabilitation services. This role to open to Band 5 or Band 6 candidates. Newly qualified therapists are welcome to apply and would be well suited to this role working alongside a Band 7 Occupational Therapist colleague onsite.

All Hallows Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Centre supports men and women with complex healthcare needs having experienced a brain injury, stroke or other neurological event. The services provided at All Hallows comprise: Active / Complex Rehabilitation, Specialist Nursing Care, Progressive Neurological Conditions and Community Rehabilitation.

We follow a biopsychosocial model of rehabilitation that is person centred. The initial funding for residents at All Hallows is for level 2 neurorehabilitation for 12 weeks and the majority of residents come to us from the neurological wards and stroke units at surrounding acute hospitals. At present we have 20 L2 rehab beds available which are in high demand.

The team at All Hallows is supportive and we work closely together with other professions to aspire to a transdisciplinary way of working. The post comes with excellent CPD opportunities including both onsite journal club and training along with funding for external courses and conferences.

The successful applicant should have a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. HCPC registration is essential. Experience of working with people with neurological conditions is beneficial.

The post holder will be expected to manage a caseload of clients with brain injury and in conjunction with other members of the multi professional Therapy Team, form comprehensive assessment of need and develop goal focused Occupational Therapy rehabilitation intervention plans. The post holder will be expected to provide direct Occupational Therapy intervention, as well as writing reports, inputting to care plans, outcome measures, goals and review meetings for service users.
