Key Accountabilities

  • Working as a key member of the NPD team execute development projects within agreed parameters
  • Liaise with relevant customers when required to ensure effective communication of process, responding to their agenda
  • Liaise with Business Performance, Manufacturing, Technical, Packaging, Sales Team, Marketing & Category Teams. to deliver project to timescale/cost
  • Source ingredients and cost materials to support budget requirements under direction of line manager
  • Keep up to date on Food trends, Competitor products and any new industry Technology
  • Demonstrate good food knowledge and product formulation
  • Follow Sofina NPD/EPD Governance process and any customer processes as required
  • Pro-active approach to continuous improvement in all areas of the role, products & process

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ideally educated to HNC degree level or equivalent within a food related discipline, Science or demonstrate industry experience with a desire to further education if required
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Commercially aware/astute
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate numerical data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proactive approach, ability to forward think, with good project and time management skills
  • Driving license or ability to be agile if required
  • Flexibility to travel, and to adapt to work with other proteins as needed
