New Business Development/ Account Manager

Working exclusively with a leading food packaging company we are recruiting a Business Development/Account Manager to join their fantastic team.

With support from the Sales Manager, you will be provided with full training on the product lines and processes, setting you up for success in building relationships with new clients and existing clients with a focus of expansion within the UK, Europe and the USA.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within the food and packaging industry, who can showcase a methodical and persistent approach to building business and able to proactively pick up the phone to arrange meetings and visit existing clients. The company is invested in long-term growth and relationship building with 75% working in the office and 25% on the road.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Possess a strong understanding of the companies’ products, the competition in the industry and positioning.
