THE BUSINESS
 
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our client on a permanent contract with an immediate start. The company in question are a leading manufacturer within their field and have been in operation within the North East for over 100 years. THE ROLE
 
  • Perform mechanical systems fault finding, overhaul and repair
  • Carry out pneumatic and hydraulic systems fault finding and repair
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to schedule
  • Machine shop, use of manual lathe and miller operation
  • Installation and commissioning of electro/mechanical processes
  • Maintenance of heavy machinery and equipment
 
 
THE PERSON
 
Essential
 
  • Minimum of time served in maintenance engineering to NVQ Level 3.
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office. Desirable
  • HNC in Engineering
  • Possession of an IPAF licence, MEWP.
  • FLT licence, whilst desirable, will be provided in-house.
 
Desirable
 
  • Welding using MIG and stick.
  • Conduct electrical fault finding using electrical drawings to diagnose and repair hard wiring faults.
  • Perform PLC fault finding (Ideally Siemens TIA Portal although other PLC experience will be considered).
