Reed Financial Services are representing with an award-winning Investment & Financial Planning firm with locations across Central & Southeast England.. Hiring for the Middle Office Department that monitors and controls many aspects of the Firm’s Day to day activities. The role itself encompasses a number of functions which will enable the department to monitor the transactions of the firm and ensure that at any one time we are aware of potential risks the firm may be exposed to. The role will also assist the Investment Managers with any queries that arise associated with the tasks detailed below.
Key accountabilities:
• Manage and monitor daily payment and journal cash movement requests submitted by Investment Managers and forward to our custodian for processing within strict time deadlines.
• Assist the Investment Managers with any queries arising from the daily processes of the Payments & Journals section.
• Processing of Debit and Credit interest
• Calculation of quarterly custody charges
• Processing of debit card transactions from clients.
• Liaise closely with our custodian on all aspects of client payments in and out of client accounts.
• Monitoring of client debt positions and communication with Investment Managers to ensure debt position are cleared in a timely manner, imposing fines in appropriate circumstances.
• Managing and monitoring cash on Closed Accounts.
• Assisting in other areas of the company as and when necessary

Qualifications/experience
required
• A general understanding of payments and journals and movement of funds on clients accounts.
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• The ability to work unaided and to use initiative when the need arises.
• Experience within Financial Services is desirable
Reporting line Senior Middle Office Analyst
Contractual hours Full Time - Between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm, i.e. 8am to 4.30pm or
9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
Part Time 4 full days or 5 days at reduced hours
