Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Microstation CAD Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth located at their York or Skelmersdale offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize MicroStation software to produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D design drawings for railway civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with the Civils Design team to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications in all design work.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and efficiency of design processes.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Maintain and organize CAD files and documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices to continuously improve design capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• HND / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer with a focus on MicroStation for infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in MicroStation software, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, and regulations related to railway infrastructure.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality design drawings.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
