Job Title: Meetings & Events Sales Manager
Location: London, supporting all UK locations
Reporting to: Head of Welcome Services UK
Responsible for: Meetings & Events Assistant Managers and Planners


As the Meetings & Events Sales Manager, you will oversee the coordination of all events and priority bookings across multiple locations in the UK, ensuring exceptional service standards. Your role encompasses leadership, client relationship management, operational oversight, and financial acumen.


Your primary objective is to lead and guide the Meetings & Events Team in delivering outstanding client-focused service. Additionally, you will support our community with large and VIP bookings, both remotely and in person, aligning with our company's vision and values.


Events and Meeting Management:
* Identify and convert sales opportunities, acquiring and developing new leads.
* Maintain a consistent service through effective team scheduling and direction.
* Conduct inspections of event spaces, ensuring adherence to standards and prompt resolution of issues.
* Foster a security-conscious environment and collaborate with the Security Team.
* Regularly review customer feedback for continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate flexibility to meet event requirements, including travel to regional offices.

Operational Skills and Knowledge:
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including HR, L&D, and Health & Safety.
* Maintain health and safety standards in event areas and oversee staff training.

Financial Management:
* Understand and meet financial targets, collaborating with General Managers on forecasts and proposals.
* Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of events and management of debt.

People Management:
* Communicate effectively with direct reports and stakeholders, supporting the implementation of new initiatives.
* Lead recruitment efforts and support grievance and disciplinary procedures.
* Conduct performance appraisals, providing development plans and recognition for exceptional performance.
* Train, coach, and mentor direct reports to achieve their potential and develop succession plans.

Communication:
* Participate in meetings and host team talks to align with the overall vision.
* Create a culture of open and honest feedback for continuous improvement.
* Maintain clear communication with the Head of Welcome Services UK on HR, training, and service matters.
