Our client, an oil & gas company, are looking for a Mechanical Technician on a contract basis at their site in Inverurie.

Total working hours are 37.5hrs. Mon-Thu 07:00-15:30 & Fri 07:00-14:30.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to support our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing technical expertise to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide technical support and contribute to the development of new processes and equipment.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, dismantle, and repair machinery.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify and ensure the accuracy of mechanical components.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure working environment.
  • Assist in the procurement of replacement parts and materials, ensuring timely availability for maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements, actively participating in ongoing training and professional development.
